Sidney J. Pollack served as an  enlisted man at SCPC from August 1943 to February 1946.

His functions there were: script clerk, assistant director, assistant cameraman, assistant film editor, and assistant to the executive producer.

He was discharged with the rank of Technician Third Grade. He was subsequently commissioned as a First Lieutenant and was part of the reserve unit at SCPC. Recalled to active duty in 1951, he became Management Officer of the Yokohama Signal Depot. He was discharged with the rank of Captain in 1962.
