Stan Cherry
Stanley Zachary Cherry
served at Army Pictorial Center from 1954 to
1956, wrote his friend, Colonel Norman
Saunders. Among other
assignments, Cherry filmed nuclear tests in Nevada in 1955-1956.
Cherry was a graduate of the University of California at Los Angeles.
After his APC service, Cherry went into television and had a long and
productive career as a director, writer and producer from 1961 to 1988.
He directed scores of episodes of different television programs and
wrote and produced television movies and series episodes.
Born February 2, 1932, in Los Angeles, Cherry died of cancer at the age
of 74 on September 27, 2006, in Studio City, California.
