Clarence Kugler wrote, "I
served at the U.S. Army Pictorial Center in Long Island City, NY as a
2LT with an MOS of Motion Picture Director. My duty title was listed
as producer of the Army television show "The Big Picture" at the time
the Center was closed in early 1970.
"When
the Center closed, I was moved to Washington, D.C., to work with the
Material Command for a year. At the end of that year, I was sent to
Vietnam and assigned to the Americal (Division) as a Signal Officer, and
that closed down moving me North where I became the Information Officer
for the Da Nang Support Command before leaving the Army.
"My
closest friend at the Pictorial Center was the Provost Marshal George
Hanley, who I served with in Vietnam, and we have become life long
friends."
