"When I arrived in Europe in the summer of '51, I was assigned to "SHAPE HQ, as a pipeline photographer (still).

"The 497 Signal Photo Company, a reserve unit out of Binghamton, NY, was activated and located in Karlsrue, Germany, Detachment "C" to Orleans, France.

"My team operated out of Verdun, France.  I rotated stateside in Dec. '52. I have tried several times to track down
the 497th Photo, with no luck. Any info you might have, would be much welcomed.

"I am now 74 yrs. of age and have a lot of fond memories."
